The eCubator
Tamagotchi taught a generation how to raise digital pets. Heifer International works to end poverty by training farmers and ranchers all over the world. With the eCubator, their goal is to help urban farmers learn about sustainability and go off the egg grid.
During the height of COVID-19 and the H5N1 avian flu outbreaks, the American egg "grid" collapsed, which led to a new surge of urban farmers: consumers with a backyard, a few chickens, and the dream of creating a sustainable source of eggs. However, these hobbyists lacked the necessary training, putting both their livestock and families at risk of spreading diseases.
In response to the hidden risk of urban farming, Heifer International has partnered with Tamagotchi to bring you the “eCubator” - the first handheld chicken training simulator. With this new Tamagotchi version, the future backyard farmer could gain a full range of knowledge of how to raise a healthy and happy chicken coop.

The Contest
Players can register their eCubator and compete against other farmers to see who can raise the happiest digital flock. The winner will receive an official eCubator chicken coop for their backyard.
